My design philosophy is simple: innovative design solutions come from innovative perspectives and an appreciation for common human threads. I believe in the subtle language that design provides us with — a vocabulary built on the nuance and beauty of the human experience.
Inspired by what can be communicated through the right mix of simple form and depth of concept, I work with a client's needs to create fresh, clean, good-feeling design solutions.
Although I tend to gravitate towards nice paper and good ink saturation, I have worked in many mediums including web design, exhibit design and packaging.
Design services include: identity systems, brochures, annual reports, web design, newsletters, invitations, signage, packaging, exhibit design, and direct mail.
I graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg Virginia with a BFA in Graphic Design and Art History. Since graduation in 2007, I was a Designer and Program Assistant at the Institute for Visual Studies, a multidisciplinary center for the study of visualizations and images. I have just recently moved to Chicago to explore new avenues in art and design.

I also love to kern, browse fonts, and bake cupcakes.
